what to expect?

Visiting a new church for the first time can feel overwhelming. At Redemption Church at New Hope, you’ll find a warm and welcoming community eager to help you feel at home as you worship with us. Below are answers to a few common questions to help you prepare for your visit.

When and Where Do You Meet?

We meet at 5142 NC Hwy 58 N. on Sunday mornings.

  • Core Seminars (adults and children): 9:15–10:00 AM
  • Coffee and Fellowship: 10:00–10:30 AM
  • Worship Service: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM

Where Do I Park and Enter?

You are welcome to park in either the paved or gravel parking lot. Please enter through the main entrance, clearly marked with signage. A greeter will welcome you at the door and, if it’s your first visit, help guide you to the Connect Table. Families with children will be assisted with the check-in process.

What Is the Dress?

Dress is casual at Redemption Church at New Hope. You’ll see everything from business casual to jeans and a t-shirt. Come as you are.

Is Childcare Available?

Yes. We believe every child is a unique gift from the Lord, created in His image. Our desire is that each child would come to know, trust, and serve Jesus Christ as they study, play, and grow together.

  • Nursery–Preschool: Childcare and Bible study are available during the worship service.
  • Kindergarten: Children are dismissed before the sermon to attend Bible study with a teacher.
  • Elementary (and up): Children join us in the worship service. We value children worshiping alongside the rest of the church and encourage parents to help their children learn what it means to worship together.

Check-in begins at 10:15 AM, and all children attending Bible study must be checked in by a parent or guardian before the service begins.

What Is the Style of Music?

We place a strong emphasis on congregational singing. Our music includes both older and newer songs in a contemporary style, chosen for their rich, biblically faithful lyrics and suitability for congregational worship. Singing is typically led by a contemporary-style band.

What Is the Worship Service Like?

Our worship service includes Scripture reading, creeds and confessions, prayer, congregational singing, and the preaching of God’s Word.

What we believe

At Redemption Church at New Hope, we take our beliefs seriously. We are a Biblical, evangelical, and Southern Baptist Church. We believe in the inerrancy and authority of the Scriptures, and we have summarized what our church believes in our Confession of Faith. If you have any questions about what we believe, feel free to review our confession of faith.

children

We love children at Redemption Church at New Hope! We are passionate about coming alongside parents to help them disciple their children in the word of God. On Sunday mornings we offer child care and Bible Study for infants-kindergarten. We eagerly welcome elementary-aged children in our worship service. At times, elementary-aged children squirm a bit, but we welcome the small distractions here and there because we want children to learn how to worship alongside their parents. For more information check out the page for Redemption Kids.

Morning Service – 10:30am

  • Birth – 3 years: Childcare and Bible Study are available during the morning service. Check-in begins at 9:15.
  • K-4 & 5: Check-in begins at 9:15, then Kindergarteners will join their families in the sanctuary for the first part of morning worship. They will later be dismissed for Bible study just prior to the sermon. If your kindergartener is going to Bible study, he/she must be checked in BEFORE the service.
  • Elementary Students: Elementary-aged children are warmly welcomed as they join us for worship! We believe it's important to have children worship alongside the rest of the body, and learn that they too are valuable to Him. We encourage parents to take this weekly opportunity with their children to teach them how to engage in joyful and loving worship.

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
